Details of the walks can be printed off from this website. The series of pamphlets that comprise Gentle Walks, Moderate Walks, Hard Walks, Using the Southern Upland Way, Walks From the Car, Cycle Rides and Drives are usually available from the Moffat Bookshop in Moffat’s Well Street and from A. Moffat Walking Weekend is an annual festival that offers a variety of walks of all levels, from gentle to extremely challenging, over three days in early autumn. All walks are led by experienced walkers who know every step of the terrain. You can walk with a dark sky ranger who will show you the stars; an ornithologist who can answer all your bird related questions and show you what to look, and listen, out for; a garden creator who will be able to tell you about all the plants in her spectacular garden; and many more experts in their fields. But the best thing about the weekend is you’ll get to experience the beauty of Moffat and its surrounding hills, valleys, and waterways knowing you are in the safe hands of people who know and love it.
